Tangoproject en movimiento realises fine projects with international Tango teachers and wants to connect people irrespective of their gender identities. Let's surprise!
I want to make a difference with this project because it's a matter of course for me to live my life the way I am.
Since 2013, Tangoproject en movimiento engages for projects with international Tango teachers and wants to connect people regardless their gender identity. The project wants to promote the international ideas of Queertango in Switzerland. Through Tango, we want to ensure increased visibility for people of the LGBTI* community within our modern society. Our community should have a better chance to reduce the fear of contact within the hetero normative society through their specific knowledge and ability in Tango, also in the context of workshops, shows and Milongas. Tango applies as a dialogue we use as a language, in the dance and in the encounter - for a bigger tolerance and to live and celebrate commonality.
As a long-time queer Tango dancer, experienced in both roles,
I'm very happy to see more queer dancing couples in the Milongas of Zurich today than a few years ago. I'm also excited to see the queer idea of role exchange taking place in the hetero-normative society. Irrespective of gender identity, more and more people are enjoying
the exchange of role in Tango.
Let’s talk about!
And let’s dance!
Queridos saludos tangueras
Irene
